contract is for the hire of accommodation by the persons named on
the booking form (the hirer) and for the period as stated on the
hirer accepts that the accommodation owners, their agents or
employees shall not be held responsible or liable for any accident
or injury to any members of the party, howsoever caused, or for loss
or damage to any personal goods or property, howsoever caused.
owners are relieved from liabilities if the accommodation should
become unavailable due to any unforeseen circumstances. In this
event a refund may be made limited to the maximum rental fee paid by
the hirer and assistance will be given in trying to secure
alternative accommodation for the hirer should they so wish.
any circumstance the owners’ maximum liability will be limited to
the amount of rent paid by the hirer.
is the hirers’ responsibility to satisfy themselves that the
style, type and location of the property they choose suits their
purposes. All information is available on the web site and may
include subjective opinion.
are responsible and liable for all damage or breakages during their
stay, whether accidental or negligent and are required to replace or
pay for such damage/ breakages. Please respect the property and all
of its contents for the owners and all future hirers. In the event
of damage etc. please advise the owners as soon as possible in order
that they can ensure the next hirer receives the full benefit of a
completely equipped property which of course, as the hirer will
appreciate, they rightfully deserve.
it is deemed by us in our reasonable opinion that the behaviour of
any member of your party causes, or would be likely to cause,
danger, distress, disturbance, offence or upset to a third party or
damage to the property and its contents both internally and
externally, your holiday will be terminated immediately and the Hall
must be vacated at once, without recourse.
hirer must neither entertain external guests nor exceed the maximum
capacity of the property as advertised and must have written
permission to carry out any professional or commercial business at
the property or the hirers will be in breach of their booking
agreement and the hire will be terminated with immediate effect
property will be available from 4.00 p.m. on the day of arrival and
must be left in a clean and tidy condition by 10.00 a.m. on the day
of departure. A 10% FEE WILL BE
PAYABLE FOR LATE DEPARTURES AND/OR EXCESSIVE CLEANING.
our properties are NON SMOKING throughout. May we respectfully
bring to your attention that a deep cleaning charge of £100.00
will be levied should traces of tobacco be evident.
cancellation made by the hirer for whatever reason shall be in
writing and addressed to Derbyshire Country Houses, HarthillHall, Bakewell,
Derbyshire DE45 1LH. On receipt of notice of cancellation
Derbyshire Country Houses will seek to re-let the property for the
period of the booking. If Derbyshire Country Houses succeeds in
re-letting the property for the whole period it shall refund all
monies paid less an administration charge of £50 + vat per booking.
If Derbyshire Country Houses only succeed in re-letting the property
for part of the period booked they shall refund an amount equal to
the monies paid less (1) the rental period which is not re-let and
(2) an administrative charge of £50 + vat. If they are unable to
re-let the property at all then all monies paid by the client shall
be forfeited. We strongly recommend clients take out Cancellation
